Nurturing a Greener & More Sustainable Singapore

HSBC has partnered with National Parks Board Singapore to support our City in a Garden ambition

In 1963, former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, planted a tree which now marks the beginning of Singapore's greening programme. As part of this heritage, for more than 20 years, we've partnered with National Parks Board Singapore to support our City in a Garden ambition.

One of these initiatives includes the Heritage Tree programme, sponsoring the provision of lightning conductors to help conserve the country’s oldest trees. In fact the Tembusu tree found on the SG$5 bill is dedicated to HSBC Singapore in recognition of our efforts.

Hear from Martina Chia, HSBC employee, how she's pursued her passion for nature as a green volunteer over the past 20 years. Joining her, Mr Wong Tuan Wah, Group Director, Fort Canning Park & Istana, National Parks Board Singapore highlights how we’ve worked together to protect and conserve the environment.

Greener Future
